I underwent comprehensive engineering training at Chang Gung University. Throughout my undergraduate journey, I enrolled in up to 69 courses, covering a spectrum of subjects from basic to advanced mathematics, electronics, basic and integrated circuit (IC) design, programming language, and even medical electronic devices. Electrical Engineering (EE) encompasses all components containing electrical parts; thus, I was fortunate to acquire broad knowledge not only in my major but also in interdisciplinary fields. This extensive and diverse learning experience has provided me with a solid foundation in engineering principles and practices.

Graduate school is designed to cultivate students' research abilities, encompassing the identification of potential topics, surveying relevant literature, designing experiments, creating graphs, and mastering academic writing—skills crucial for conducting any research. During my graduate studies, I specialized in robotics with a focus on 3D perception.

My research project involved observing melon plants in a greenhouse, where I integrated a robotic manipulator and an Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV) to create a mobile system. I designed a scheduler to sequentially arrange this system to the plants. The robotic manipulator, equipped with a depth camera, would reconstruct the plant, and a post-processing algorithm was developed to extract the main stem and cluster each leaf and petiole.

Through this master’s project, I acquired extensive knowledge in Robot Operating System (ROS), system integration, motion planning, 3D perception and processing, and algorithm design. I also developed proficient troubleshooting abilities, enabling me to address and resolve a myriad of challenges encountered during the research process.

Internship Experience

New Deantronics -- R&D Engineering

2018 June ~ 2018 September

TuCheng Branch, New Taipei City, Taiwan [Website]

The content of the internship is to use a DSP (digital signal processor) to access the EEPROM outside a product, and at the same time to communicate with computer-side instructions, execute computer-side requirements and return status or data. This EEPROM is responsible for placing the factory information, electric burner power parameters and customer-defined preferences. In short, this internship mainly improves the ability to operate embedded systems, including communication, calibration, self-correction, etc.
